Safe Play Area, Artists Residency 2019.
Chez took part in a week long collaborative residency at Chapel Arts Studios with performance artist Susan Merrick and sculptor Katherine Smith. They spent the week responding to and investigating ideas of play, boundaries, freedom, anarchy, safety and play! Together they began to develop an immersive play space. The week ended with a sharing event which bought together her playscape mural work, performance, sculpture and most of all interactive play.
Audiences were invited to take part in a wheel challenge, search for dream talismans in the graveyard and interact with the sensory play area!
